- Elaine Michaud is a visual artist living and working in San Francisco, California. Born on the east coast, she attended the University of Vermont, receiving a BA in studio art, and after relocating to California, earned an MFA in painting from San Francisco State University. Michaud has exhibited her work throughout the Bay Area and California, including the inaugural Wet Paint exhibit at Southern Exposure gallery, curated by Philip Yenawine/MOMA, Gearbox Gallery, ARC Gallery, Yosemite Museum, Piedmont Art Center, Sanchez Art Gallery, Thoreau Center for the Arts, Pence Gallery, and others. She has participated in workshops, including Long Island University’s Master’s Workshop, and was awarded an artist-in-residence at Dorland Mountain Arts.

- Michaud’s work has addressed the character and meaning of home, family relationships and childhood experience, and the symbolism of flowers and forms in nature, exploring issues of family, identity, place, and the natural environment.
